My passion for diabetes management has increased recently since becoming diabetic myself and wearing an insulin pump.

Stacy Getten is a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) and a certified diabetes educator (CDE).  She has over 18 years of experience working with diabetes, weight management, cardiovascular disease, chronic kidney disease and other nutrition related conditions.   She obtained undergraduate degree in Dietetics and Masters in Food Science and Nutrition from University of Wisconsin Stout.  Her experience includes included community based hospital diabetes management and education of patients.  While working on a trauma nutrition support team, she worked closely with nutrition management, glycemic control for improved outcomes and worked in the hospital diabetes center. Stacy is experienced with pediatric diabetes and prediabetes.  As a RDN CDE, working at a regional clinic’s Endocrinology team, she provided medical nutrition therapy, diabetes self-management education, trained individual on insulin pens, meters, medications and injectables. Stacy has extensive knowledge of insulin pumps, continuous glucose sensors, insulin pens, glucose meters, and medications.
