Marie Feldman RD, CDE
Certified Diabetes Educator
Marie has been a registered dietitian for over 15 years and has worked as a certified diabetes educator for 8 of them. She received her Bachelors in Clinical Dietetics at University of California Berkeley and has been an outpatient dietitian at previous institutions such as Memorial Sloan Kettering and Cedars-Sinai. She has enjoys providing medical nutrition therapy and education to adult Type 1 and 2 diabetics and is trained on insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors. In addition, she has served as a research department manager and helped facilitate over 30 industry-based clinical trials primarily in the areas of diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Witnessing countless diabetes therapies and medications come to market and make a huge impact in the evolution of diabetes treatment and self-care has been a very exciting part of her career.
She is a fitness enthusiast, loves food and cooking, and over the years has done nutrition consulting work, namely writing and research support for dietary cookbooks and newsletters and nutrition lectures to seniors, children and parents. She recently published a diabetes cookbook, The Big Book of Diabetes Recipes (Adams Media January 2016). Marie enjoys using her creativity to collaborate and problem solve with her patients, develop unique and individualized diet and diabetes management care plans and encourage adherence to achieve lasting and life changing results.
